The recessed expansion joint is a technical solution suitable for application in floors, walls, and ceilings , allowing for the absorption of structural movements and ensuring a discreet and durable finish.
It consists of aluminum flanges and a flexible nitrile profile , ensuring good durability, flexibility and adaptability to different types of flooring, such as ceramic, granite, mosaic and screed .
Designed for joints with a maximum width of 30 mm , this solution allows for movements of up to 20 mm — +10 mm / -10 mm — and is suitable for pedestrian traffic areas. In certain applications, it can also be used in areas subject to light loads, provided that the technical installation conditions are respected.
The profiles are supplied in 3-meter lengths and allow application with coverings up to 13 mm thick . Installation is carried out by mechanical fastening on both sides, with a recommended spacing of 35 cm , using plugs and screws suitable for the support.
For areas with higher cleaning and hygiene demands, the use of the smooth-sealed version is recommended, ensuring a surface that is easier to maintain and suitable for hygienic environments.
